Floatplane to Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge

Bedwell Sound, Clayoquot Sound, British Columbia

Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, formerly Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, is a seasonal wilderness camp at the mouth of the Bedwell River in Clayoquot Sound, north of Tofino on Vancouver Island's west coast.

Getting there by floatplane

A direct floatplane flight from downtown Vancouver lands on the water in front of the lodge. That replaces most of a day by ferry and road to Tofino, followed by a boat transfer.

Book early for peak season

The lodge is only open in the warmer months, so July and August flights are in high demand. Request a quote as soon as your lodge dates are confirmed.

Weather on the west coast

Coastal fog and low cloud can delay floatplanes, which fly by sight. Leave some slack in your plans on the day you fly out, especially if you have a connecting flight.
